Chase Farm Hospital Redevelopment is a design and build of a new 5-storey Hospital, Energy Centre and Multi storey car park under the P21+ Framework working in partnership with the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust on a live hospital campus.
THE PROJECT
The existing outdated hospital buildings were replaced with a new build hospital that has world-class care facilities. These include a range of wards, theatres, urgent care centre, day surgery, outpatient ambulatory care zone, imaging, diagnostics and supporting facilities, together with a new energy centre and car park extension.
The project was managed by Integrated Healthcare Projects, under the NHS ProCure21+ National Framework.
WHAT PHD SUPPLIED
Traditional tube and fitting scaffold to the entire hospital building and the Energy Centre. This also included temporary staircases, hand-rails and birdcage scaffold for stairwells and the lift shafts.
Special loading bays were erected to provide access for heavy machinery into the building.
PHD were commended for the high standards of Health & Safety and Quality on this project by the client. We had 2 apprentices assigned to this project and our site manager was given an award for his commitment to health and safety.
