If you are 16+ and interested in developing your experience in the construction industry as a scaffolder, why not apply for our Apprenticeship Scheme! The two-year apprenticeship offers you the opportunity to learn terminology, familiarise yourself with equipment and gain onsite knowledge, along with attaining your NVQ Level 2 in Scaffolding and Accessing Operations and Rigging.

Your Apprenticeship

Successful candidates will undergo on-job training and biannual 10-day college blocks during a two-year apprenticeship. You will work with skilled tradesmen and have site manager support, whether in the service yard or on-site.

The course is provided by our partner, SIMIAN, a leading UK training organisation.

Programme Structure

This 11-week part-time training programme is spread over 18-24 months in 10-day blocks. It’s held in The London Academy of Sustainable Construction (LASC), Waltham Forest with all expenses paid.

Successful completion awards an NVQ Level 2 in Scaffolding, Accessing Operations, and Rigging.

On completion, you will achieve:

CISRS Trainee(Part 1)
CISRS Scaffolder(Part 2)
CISRS Skill Test(Level 2)
Construction Diploma(Level 2)
Functional Skills
CITB Health, Safetyand Environment Test
NVQ Access and Rigging OperationsScaffolding (Level 2)

YOUR DUTIES

Your duties will include:

  • Loading and unloading scaffold equipment from the wagons
  • Moving and storing scaffold equipment correctly
  • Keeping the site organised and tidy
  • Low-level labouring
  • Adhering to health and safety

Once you progress to working on site, you will initially work with teams to erect and dismantle scaffolding. The aim is for you to erect and dismantle the scaffold yourself eventually.
