This scheme aims to help ex-offenders return to normality and into the workplace by guiding them and guaranteeing them interviews at a range of scaffolding and access companies, (the companies are not obliged to hire anyone, just give an interview).
Lukasz also spoke about his own experience of being in prison and how employment has helped him turn his own life around. After being in prison himself and joining the scaffolding industry to build up his career at PHD, Lukasz is a strong advocate for the NASC’s Returning Citizens Scheme. He spoke passionately about how everyone deserves a second chance, including those in prison, and how the scheme provides exactly that for many ex-offenders, so not only do they have an opportunity to be employed but to also build a career within the industry.
PHD have employed our first Returning Citizen this month as part of the scheme, and we look forward to helping to develop their skills within the scaffolding industry!
