Ireland’s largest M&E contractor, currently working on a new data centre in Frankfurt, required an urgent and reliable engineering solution to respond to an accelerated programme request by the Client.

PHD took the call on the Monday, completed full designs by Wednesday, mobilised on Thursday and immediately started work in Frankfurt within the same week completing the project by close of business the following Monday  – 1 week from receiving the initial enquiry!

The works consisted of a heavy-duty loading gantry, 9mx9m on plan, bridging over the loading bays,  with an inertia reel safety device, internal gantry with floor and ramps so that machinery could be driven into the building.

PHD also constructed secure access stairs, clad in Protec to prohibit unauthorised access onto the deck of phenolic ply which was to accommodate 26 scissor platforms required for the fit-out of the new data hall.
