Cannon Street is a gantry encircling the site of the new Bloomberg European headquarters.
The gantry permits access into the site, and around it with low and high level sections. Acoustic panels attached to the gantry provide the site with sound insulation and also provide a mounting to exhibit pictures of archaeology artefacts discovered from the Mithras Temple which was uncovered when excavating the site.
The close proximity of the gantry to public highways results in most of the gantry having to be erected, and adapted when necessary during hours of darkness. This has proved successful due to the efficient working relationship between Avondale and Sir Robert McAlpine.
